About the Founders

Roger
Stringer
co-founded Marietta Systems after a 14 year career with a 'major
computer manufacturer' spanning three countries and positions in
technical, marketing and financial areas.
Born and educated in England, Roger emigrated to Canada in 1976, and
then moved in to the USA in 1978, eventually settling in suburban
Atlanta. He is married to Patricia with two teenage daughters and
a grown-up son.
Roger received an undergraduate degree in Computer Science (hons.) from
Manchester University and a Masters degree in Management from Imperial
College, London University. |

Patricia Lee Stringer co-founded Marietta Systems after a
career in the computer industry as a programmer for a consumer products
company, head of R&D for a New York-based software company, and
finally as MIS manager for a Connecticut-based insurance organization.

About our customers
Our largest customer base is from
Symbol Technologies, who resell our products and contract us to develop
custom software and custom extensions to our products for their
customers. Through Symbol, many major corporations use software we
have created, including BellSouth, Ameritech, Georgia Pacific, FSG, Pilot
Oil Corporation, JC Penney, Eckerd Drug, Hibbetts, Fedex, Tractor Supply,
Haggar, Oxford, Family Dollar, Wakefern, and Anderson Merchandisers.
The other primary group of our
customer base is through Symbol's reseller network, including Stratix,
Barcoding.com, DRI, Peak, Justin, Mintek, Datatrac, Software Plus,
Thomas&Howard, and STS-WA. Through these (and other)
resellers, many other corporations use software we have created, including
Alcoa, CD&L, Boston Scientific, Pantry Express, ICM, Sealright, Enron,
TXI, Samford U, and Lextron.
Some customers are directly
supported by us, including Exactech, PacBell, SportsShoe, Executive
Coffee, SupplyLineUSA.com, and the J.Paul Getty Trust. In addition, we
provide direct support to customers who license the Marietta PDE™
software over the internet.
